The MIGROS IT Services manage about 125 SAP systems for 13'000 SAP users on 250 servers using syslink Xandria.

SAP monitoring made easy thanks to an intelligent system management tool

Since April 2004, the SAP systems at MGI SAP Administration have been running smoothly and without a hitch. That is, ever since the successful implementation of Xandria, an SAP system management and monitoring tool.

Taking stock of the situation for the first time after just under a year and a half, the company has established that the result is quite impressive!

As Ulf Vollmer, head of department at MGI SAP Administration, and his team have discovered, the administration of SAP system environments can be really straightforward. In his opinion, another crucial quality aspect is the high level of expertise gained through customer-centric and service-oriented collaboration with the tool manufacturer, Basel-based syslink AG – something that is of course a huge advantage for customers, especially in this day and age. However, it is also precisely this high quality that has helped the tool manufacturer, a spin-off of PricewaterhouseCoopers, to achieve its rapid growth and success.

The the IT-Services Department of the City of Zurich (OIZ) runs more than 15'000 Desktop-PC for some 24'000 employees of the City of Zurich. It also manages an SAP environment consisting of about 60 systems.

Novartis

We monitor more than 20 systems at Novartis Pharma Basel. Without Xandria, this task would be extremely time-consuming. The task has become a lot easier since we have been using Xandria.

The “SAP daily check” function provides us with a quick overview of the systems and saves us a great deal of time. Another impressive feature is the “automatic changes” function, which documents all technical changes. This feature is absolutely essential in the pharmaceutical environment.

We would also like to draw attention to the high quality and fast response times of the syslink support service when customers have application-related questions or problems.
